why are you trying to make it more complicated than it is. >> is mitch mcconnell going to save the day? >> i don't know about that, but let me take issue. the republican conference in the house is very conservative. we are seeing a very conservative conference that may not coming to to vote on something, even if nancy pelosi can corral the democrats, they need to pick off republicans. we don't know if any of them would vote for something like this. john boehner is ready to strike a deal. i'm not sure many others are. in the senate we have seen a number of conservative republicans saying they would vote. >> 20 republican votes? >> at this point it's very hard to say. i think john boehner would probably be trying to go in that direction if he could. we haven't seen enough house republicans come out yet and say they would support tax increases. if you have tom coal who broke with his party leadership and the party ranks about three weeks ago or so. we haven't seen enough say they would. i don't know that that's the right deal for that to try to strike. >> one of the strategies that republ
